What a work day at Wimmy might look like

Your day starts in the hospital, like most days. However, your schedule is not as full as most other days, which makes it possible to dedicate a few hours to Wimmy-related work. You have a conference call with the Health Product Owner to discuss the strengths and limitations of different predictors of cardiovascular disease. Next you review a study protocol for an operational research study that aims to quantify the effects of a novel approach to the management and prevention of cardiovascular disease.

    Required skills and expertise

        • You love your “daytime job” but you also enjoy challenging yourself with consulting work outside of your routine practice.
        • You are a specialist in Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, HIV, TB and/or COVID medicine, ENT, Internal Medicine, Psychiatry, Nutrition & Dietetics, Revalidation sciences, Acute Care and Emergency Medicine, or Surgery and you are an active practitioner in your field of specialisation.
        • While you enjoy providing care to individual patients, you also like working on projects that focus on “higher level” outcomes such as access to health care, quality of care, population-level effectiveness and cost-effectiveness, and a holistic view of health and well-being beyond the  boundaries of your field of specialisation.
