What a work day at Wimmy might look like

If you are based in Cape Town, you may choose to come into the office, or feel free to work from home or a location of your choice. We do encourage physical presence with the team where possible. This is to ensure we get to know each other better, which strengthens our relationship when we work remotely.

You start the day with your morning coffee reviewing your tasks on Jira. You look through a scope statement, review the client’s existing systems and ideate new solutions that are more informative, more time-efficient and interactive than the existing one. You start with the first draft of your flows before taking a break for lunch.

After lunch you play a quick game of table tennis with a teammate, and you come back refreshed and ready for a feedback session with the client data analytics team to run through some of the flows you designed in another project.

During your coffee break you get into a discussion on behavioural economics and how some of these concepts could be incorporated into the interactive dashboard that you are designing. It’s Thursday, so you round off the day with a quick team stand-up with your teammates in the US.
